Why am I being checked out at the checkout?

Shop staff in the area behind the tills or immediately at the exit randomly check the match between items invoiced and items collected. It is in this area between the tills and the exit control that you have the opportunity to check the goods and report any possible shortcomings so that they can be rectified immediately.
